At the end of June 2014 I began a week-long trip with Sail Croatia. I took a one-way north-bound Navigator Cruise and had such a blast! There were only 32 guests on board so we all got pretty familiar and friendly with each other, which was fun.
Each morning we would set out from port, passing beautiful islands as we went, and sunning ourselves on the top deck with the wind in our hair. We would stop somewhere secluded for a refreshing swim stop. Then we’d have a delicious 3-course lunch on board, before arriving at a new port mid-afternoon. We’d have the rest of the day to explore as we wished, with the option of signing up for some type of excursion (some were adventure-type activities, some were cultural activities). At night we’d sleep in our on-board suites, awaking to breakfast right around the time we set off again the next morning.
Here are a few pictures I took as we were sailing from Dubrovnik to Mljet, our first stop.
Mljet is a National Park, its main attraction being two saltwater lakes that are connected to the sea via underwater tunnels. My cabinmate Clare and I rented mountain bikes and explored some of the trails. The water was so unbelievably bright turquoise, I could have stared at it for hours.
The next morning were weren’t departing until about 12pm, so Clare and I went swimming in the lakes with fellow shipmates Ashley and Laura. The water was so clean and beautiful, and I even saw a saltwater crab hiding in the rocks! I like swimming in saltwater, it’s so easy!

Below are the rest of the pictures I took from the first day and a half.
This looks great!
