Erin Explores

I have a lot to be thankful for…

I am thankful for the exciting once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of living in Europe.

I am thankful to have a job in my chosen career during a major recession.

I am thankful for my supportive and loving family and friends back home.

I am thankful for Skype, which has enabled me to see the faces of my loved ones. It has definitely helped with the homesickness.

I am thankful for the new friends I have made in Spain.

I am thankful for the opportunity to travel around Europe while I am here.

I am thankful for my health.

I have very little to complain about this year. Last year at this time I was pretty depressed, after not finding a job, trying to live on a meager substitute salary, being on food stamps, and knowing my wonderful Grandpa wouldn’t be alive much longer. It has been very hard being so far away from my family and friends these past few months, and I’ve got several more months ahead before I see them in person, but I am choosing to focus on the positives, because there are so many.
